Agricultural Department's Fruit and Vegetable Inspection Results
The Agricultural Department has released the inspection results for imported and domestically produced fruits and vegetables from September 8 to 14.
According to the announcement from the Agricultural Department, samples were taken from imported and domestic products, and the results of the analyses conducted at the State Laboratory were evaluated based on the Pesticide Residue Limits used in the European Union (EU).
The statement from the department indicated that out of 50 samples taken from imported products, 49 were found to be clean, while out of 14 samples taken from domestic products, 13 were clean. Only one domestic product was found to contain an unauthorized plant protection substance, and it was subsequently disposed of.
Abdullah Aktoprak, a resident of Bostancı village, had his pomegranate crop destroyed due to the detection of an unauthorized plant protection substance.
