The panel, titled "EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT TURKEY REPORT - Its Importance for Cyprus, Turkey, and Our Region," will take place at the KTÖS Hall, starting at 19:00 on Thursday, September 28th. The panel's speakers will be businessman Ali Erel and journalist Ulaş Barış. The moderator of the panel will be Şener Elcil, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arif Hasan Tahsin Foundation.

In an announcement made by the AHT Foundation regarding the event, the following statements were included:

"Formerly known as the 'Turkey Progress Report' and written to record developments in Turkey's European Union (EU) accession process, the report has been referred to as the 'Turkey Report' for some time, as Turkey has been taking steps in the opposite direction of progress in recent years.

Even though it is called the 'Turkey Report,' Turkey-EU relations cannot be considered separately from the Cyprus problem, so there have always been sections in the report related to Cyprus. In the latest report, this tradition continues, with extensive sections dedicated to Cyprus and specifically the Turkish Cypriot community. Despite its direct relevance to the Turkish Cypriot community, this report has not been adequately discussed in our society and has almost been attempted to be overlooked by the public. Therefore, the panel organized by the AHT Foundation aims to meet this significant need and bring this important report to the attention of the public."
