Ünal Üstel announced that the TRNC's 5-year development plan will be implemented in the first quarter of 2024, and their visions will be updated accordingly.

"We are looking forward to the future, not the past. We hope to determine the country's future vision together with the contributions of all political parties, unions, civil society organizations, and experts," Üstel said.

He also emphasized that they are in a special and significant period that will witness important changes and developments for the TRNC. He mentioned the two-state solution policy set by President Ersin Tatar in parallel with the Republic of Turkey, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's call to recognize the TRNC at the 78th UN General Assembly, and Azerbaijan President Aliyev's statement that the TRNC flag will be flown in Azerbaijan. He highlighted these developments as indicators of significant events to come.

Üstel stressed the importance of having a plan for economic, social, and cultural development based on data, even though the plan is for five years. He stated that this vision, shaped by this plan, will affect the TRNC's least 10 years, even shaping the year 2033, which corresponds to the 50th anniversary of the TRNC's establishment.

The Prime Minister highlighted that they aim to include the contributions of over 300 experts and nearly 100 institutions and organizations in the preparations for the 4th 5-Year Development Plan of the TRNC. He stressed the importance of cooperation and support from all public institutions and organizations in the establishment of Special Expert Commissions for the plan.

In conclusion, Ünal Üstel emphasized the significance of a data-based plan for achieving the goals of economic development, stating that they are committed to planning for a better future.
