Suspects Detained After Discovery of Valuable Discarded Medications
The suspects, Atilla Köroğlu and İlksen Takak, who were arrested in connection with the pills found in trash bags with cut barcodes in a building in Gemikonağı, were taken to court.
Speaking in court, the police officer Mehmet Mannaş stated that 2,973 drugs with cut barcodes were found in 26 trash bags in a building in Gemikonağı. The police also mentioned that the value of the drugs amounted to 269,068 TL.
The police revealed that some documents were found to have been burned in İlksen Pharmacy, and documents that were destroyed in water were also discovered in the sink.
The court decided to keep the suspects in custody for another 2 days as part of the investigation.
