Russia Launches Consular Services via 2 Mobile Units in Northern Cyprus

Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, has announced the commencement of consular services for Russian citizens in Northern Cyprus through 2 mobile consular units. Zakharova reported that these units have received over 70 passport applications, issued more than 15 passports, and accepted numerous applications for Russian citizenship for children.

Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, revealed that consular services for Russian citizens in Northern Cyprus are now being provided through 2 mobile consular units. In an interview with The Moscow Post, Zakharova provided updates on the current status of consular services planned for Russian citizens in Northern Cyprus, stating that the number of individuals who have received consular assistance has reached nearly one thousand.

Zakharova also mentioned that for those unable to visit the consular units due to health reasons, consular services are being offered at their homes.

Regarding the status and format of consular activities, Zakharova mentioned that they are in the "development stage" and emphasized that providing consular services to Russian citizens living in the northern part of Cyprus is an issue that should have been addressed long ago.

She highlighted that a consular session was held in Nicosia on September 21 and that the next one is scheduled to take place at the end of the month.
