The Haravgi newspaper reported that Christodoulides would participate in the MED9 summit in Malta today.
The summit will include the Presidents of France, as well as the Prime Ministers of Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Slovenia, and Malta. The summit's agenda will cover topics such as the EU's Southern Neighborhood Policy, EU enlargement, and preparations for the European Council meeting in October.
Metsola's Visit
In the same report, Haravgi newspaper mentioned that President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, is scheduled to visit Southern Cyprus for the celebrations marking the 1st of October, the anniversary of the establishment of the "Republic of Cyprus."
Metsola is expected to meet with President Nikos Christodoulides at the Presidential Palace on Sunday, and she will also participate in the official parade commemorating the 63rd anniversary of the "Republic of Cyprus."
Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias will also attend the parade, according to the report.
