Three pharmacists and three doctors, who were arrested in connection with the "prescription fraud" investigation, will remain in custody for an additional 5 days. Meanwhile, 11 more bags of drugs believed to be connected to the case were discovered in a trash bin in Haspolat.

During the hearing held at the Nicosia District Court, Police Sergeant Cemali Çiftçi presented the facts. Sgt. Çiftçi pointed out that the investigation began on September 13 following a complaint from the Social Insurance Institution. He stated that the suspects were accused of "forgery of official documents," "circulation of counterfeit official documents," and "obtaining money by deception."

Sgt. Çiftçi also highlighted that 11 bags of drugs were found in a trash bin in Haspolat yesterday and mentioned that these drugs would be examined. The police officer stated that an investigation was underway to determine whether the arrested suspects were related to the case.

The police requested that the suspects remain in custody for 5 more days, as their release could potentially alter the course of the investigation. The judge, after evaluating the evidence presented, ordered that the suspects remain in custody for 5 more days.
