PM Üstel: Cost of Living Allowance to Be Given Three Times a Year

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel has announced during the opening of the new legislative year that the cost of living allowance will be granted three times a year. Speaking on behalf of the government at the first meeting of the 3rd legislative year of the 10th term of the Republic Assembly, Prime Minister and UBP leader Ünal Üstel wished for a good session.

Providing information about the party and the government's views on foreign policy developments, Prime Minister Üstel said that the TRNC was going through an important period.
Stating that they have been in power for about a year and a half, Prime Minister Üstel said that during this period, they passed laws waiting in the Republic Assembly for a long time and needed reform, which were reform-oriented laws and would meet the needs of the country.
Prime Minister Üstel said that in the new period, thanks to the stability in the country, they will complete the unfinished projects and will undertake new and large projects needed by the country in the new period.
Pointing out that with the Economic and Financial Cooperation Protocols signed with Turkey, projects will be implemented, Prime Minister Üstel said that they will also complete the reform projects waiting in the new period.
Explaining that an initial protocol was signed for the transmission of energy to the country with a cable due to the energy problem in the country, Ercan Airport was opened, unfinished roads were completed within the scope of infrastructure works, and some of them were brought to the completion point, Prime Minister Üstel said that they made payments day by day to prevent income loss caused by the devaluation of the Turkish Lira, and decided to increase the cost of living to three times a year.
Stating that some increases have also been made for those receiving social assistance and disability pensions, Prime Minister Üstel said that work is continuing to realize supports such as "my first home loan", and support projects for industrialists and businessmen are continuing.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, stating that the laws expected by the public have passed through the committees and will be passed from the Assembly in the new period, said that studies have been initiated to review the zoning plan to prevent irregular construction, and work has started to determine where the specialized commissions necessary for the preparation of the development plan will be composed.
Prime Minister Üstel said that they have started work to solve the lighting problem on roads that have been a danger for road safety for a long time, and that they are determined to pass laws that will meet the expectations and needs of the people one by one. Prime Minister Ünal Üstel also welcomed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's call to recognize the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus at the UN General Assembly.
