Several Bill Proposals and Amendments Published in Official Gazette for Public Awareness

Amendment to the Law on Transport of Passengers and Goods by Motor Vehicles (Control): This amendment specifically addresses changes related to the fees for "Z" Rental Motor Vehicle operating permits. The fees for annual permits and permit renewal have been specified, along with penalties for delayed payments and lost permits.

3. Amendment to the Law on Currency and Exchange: This amendment aims to update and clarify the regulations related to currency exchange offices and their legal obligations. It introduces provisions for administrative fines for non-compliance and sets out the rules governing currency exchange services.

4. Draft Law on International Business Companies: This draft law is designed to promote economic sustainability by attracting international business companies to the TRNC. It outlines the establishment conditions, operational areas, rules, and regulatory aspects for international business companies operating within the TRNC.

The effective date for these legislative changes is proposed to be January 1, 2024. Interested parties are encouraged to review the proposals and provide feedback within the specified time frame.
