Traffic Report: 62 Accidents and 21 Injuries in One Week
62 traffic accidents occurred in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC), resulting in 21 injuries in the past week.
According to a statement from the Police Press Office, out of the 62 traffic accidents, 14 resulted in injuries, while 48 caused only property damage.
The reasons for the accidents during this period were identified as speeding (20 incidents), careless driving (13 incidents), failure to stop at intersections (12 incidents), tailgating (10 incidents), and other factors (7 incidents).
The total amount of damage resulting from these accidents was reported to be 3,645,650 TL. The distribution of accidents by district is as follows:
- Nicosia: 22 accidents
- Famagusta: 10 accidents
- Kyrenia: 15 accidents
- Güzelyurt: 9 accidents
- İskele: 6 accidents
