Turkey's Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya stated that there have been 9 casualties nationwide due to storms and floods.

He reported that 4 people lost their lives in Batman, 3 in Zonguldak, and 1 in Diyarbakır due to the storms and floods.

With the discovery of the lifeless body of a crew member from the sunken ship due to the severe storm in the Black Sea, the total death toll across Turkey has risen to 9. The search for the 11 missing sailors from the sunken ship continues.

Heavy rain since the evening caused flooding in many regions. Vehicles were stranded in flooded roads. Fire department teams worked to rescue vehicles. Many homes and businesses were flooded. In the Seyitler neighborhood, Birgül Güner (9), Asenat Güner (1), İsrafil Güner (5), and Lalihan Güner (54) lost their lives in the floodwaters.

4 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES IN ZONGULDAK

Zonguldak suffered significantly from the severe storm.

In the Ereğli district, as a result of a vehicle being swept away by the flood, 3 out of 4 people in the vehicle lost their lives.

In the district, with the discovery of the lifeless body of one of the missing crew members of the ship "Kafkametler," which sank off the Black Sea, the number of casualties in the city rose to 4. Landslides occurred at three points on the Zonguldak-Karadeniz Ereğli road, causing long queues of vehicles.

In the Devrek district, transportation was disrupted due to snow.

The water level also rose at the Karadeniz Ereğli K2 Type Prison due to the heavy rain and storm. Inmates at the prison were evacuated. In Ereğli, streets and avenues were flooded due to heavy rain and storms. Businesses suffered damages, and many trees along the coastal road were toppled.

1 PERSON LOST THEIR LIFE IN DIYARBAKIR

Storms and heavy rainfall in Diyarbakır led to floods and flying signage. Behçet Avcı, a mentally disabled individual, lost his life in the floodwaters in the Hani district. Flooding in rural areas resulted in homes and barns being flooded.

Erzurum, Ardahan, and Kars turned white due to snowfall and blizzards. The roads to 261 settlements were closed due to snow and blizzards. Special Provincial Administration teams initiated efforts to clear the roads.
