Drug Operation in Kyrenia Leads to 6 Arrests
Police in Kyrenia have arrested six individuals following a drug operation in which drugs and money obtained from sales were seized.
During a routine traffic stop on İslambey Street, the driver, M.F.M.(25), and passengers A.D.(24) and M.D.(25) exhibited suspicious behavior. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 2 grams of cannabis. The individuals in the car were arrested.
Further investigation by the Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Unit led to the identification of T.S.A.(31), C.C.A.(22), and O.A.A. (29), who were connected to the case. A search of their residence in Kyrenia revealed around 62 grams of cannabis and cash amounting to 69,040 TL, 2,711 dollars, 1,190 pounds, and 20 euros, believed to be proceeds from drug sales. These individuals were also taken into custody.
