Hit-and-Run Accident on Cengizköy-Yeşilyurt Main Road Leads to Motorcyclist's Severe Injuries
In an unfortunate incident on the Cengizköy-Yeşilyurt main road, a collision occurred between a JB 259 plated sedan and a UH 255 plated motorcycle, leaving the motorcyclist, Muhammad Hamad Nasrullah (E-22), and passenger Zaryap Rashid (E-19) seriously injured.
The accident unfolded as the sedan, driven by Kudret Şarafat (E-28), collided with the rear of the motorcycle while both vehicles were heading towards Güzelyurt.
Following the collision, Muhammad Hamad Nasrullah and Zaryap Rashid were rushed to the Intensive Care Unit at Nicosia Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital for medical attention. Subsequent investigations revealed that Kudret Şarafat left the scene immediately after the accident and crossed into South Cyprus through the Bostancı Land Border Gate.
In a significant development, N.Ş. (E-54) was arrested for assisting Kudret Şarafat in transporting the vehicle to the Bostancı Land Border Gate, facilitating his entry into the South Cyprus region, likely in an attempt to evade legal consequences.
