Uğur Karagözlü has Passed Away
Uğur Karagözlü, who served as the private secretary of the Founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş for many years, has passed away. A well-known figure in the country, Karagözlü, who held the position of private secretary to the Founding President Rauf Denktaş for many years and also worked for the Cyprus Today newspaper, has lost his life.
Karagözlü's sudden death has caused great sorrow in the country.
Originally from Limassol and living in Kyrenia, Karagözlü was known for his strong pen, social media posts, intellectual identity, and the photographs he took. On Facebook, he shared the portraits he took and published articles mostly about his visits or domestic and international trips.
Living with his ailing father, Karagözlü often shared stories about his father on social media, along with photos. It was reported that he passed away in the early morning hours yesterday due to a sudden illness at home.
Recently, Karagözlü had made a call for help to cover the school tuition of a medical student, and many of his friends had donated to support this student.
In January 2019, as the Private Secretary, he gave an interview to the Turkish Agency Cyprus on the anniversary of the death of the Founding President Denktaş.
