Stelios Foundation Continues to Reward Two-Community Collaboration

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou continues to promote two-community entrepreneurship in Cyprus, a venture he initiated 14 years ago. The awards ceremony for applications that have begun will take place on April 18th. Applications for the Stelios Two-Community Cooperation Awards 2024 can be submitted between January 29th, 2024, and March 15th, 2024.

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder and chairman of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation and creator and owner of the Easy Group brand, has been promoting "Two-Community Entrepreneurship Incentive" awards for 14 years in Cyprus to encourage lasting peace. This year, he will award 10,000 euros in cash to 20 entrepreneurs, forming 10 teams consisting of two local businesses, totaling 200,000 euros.

The "Stelios Two-Community Cooperation Awards," focusing on business activities of Cypriot Greek and Turkish origin, which started in 2009 and has reached a corporate structure, will reach a total of 4.39 million euros this year with the 200,000 euros to be awarded. Applications for the Stelios Two-Community Awards, which began yesterday, can be made until March 15, 2024. Interested teams can apply by clicking on the relevant link on the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation's website (www.steliosfoundation.com.cy) to download the application form. The completed form should be sent by email to marios.missirlis@stelios.com.

The business of the Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot team partner applying must have an annual turnover of at least ten thousand euros and at least one employee other than themselves. Documents demonstrating collaboration in both communities must be included in the application.

Those who have applied for or won Stelios Awards in Cyprus in previous years can reapply for this year's awards if they meet the financial criteria.

The Stelios Two-Community Cooperation Awards Ceremony will take place on April 18, 2024, at the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation's Central Building on 5 Markou Drakou Street in Nicosia.

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou's evaluation regarding the Two-Community Awards is as follows:

"Collaboration between Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots enhances and strengthens the trust relationship between the two communities. Joint activities developed with our support contribute not only to the social and economic development of the island but also to the creation of partnerships and cooperatives."
