Buse, Fourth in the Balkans
Turkish Cypriot athlete Buse Savaşkan ranked fourth in the women's high jump at the 28th Balkan Indoor Championships held in Istanbul.
The 28th Balkan Indoor Championships in athletics took place in Istanbul on Saturday, with TRNC Athletics Federation national athlete Buse Savaşkan finishing fourth in the women's high jump. A total of 241 athletes from 21 different countries competed in the championship held at the Istanbul Ataköy Athletics Hall.
Our athlete Buse Savaşkan, who was seeking an Olympic quota, finished the competition in fourth place in the women's high jump event representing Turkey with a height of 1.80 meters, narrowly missing out on a medal. Buse has competed in four different countries in the past two weeks, including France (twice), Germany, Italy, and Turkey, and due to both travel and intense racing schedules, our athlete could not deliver the desired performance in this competition.
