Mihalacke: Our Position on the Cyprus Issue is Clear
Romania's Ambassador to Southern Cyprus, Dan Mihalacke, stated that his country's position on the Cyprus issue is clear and that they support the implementation of international legal rules in resolving the Cyprus problem.
Dan Mihalacke, Romania's Ambassador to Southern Cyprus, gave an interview to Fileleftheros newspaper. Mihalacke pointed to the good relations between Southern Cyprus and Romania, emphasizing that these relations are based on historical depth and collaborations in various fields.
According to the report, Mihalacke stated that relations between the two countries have improved in recent years due to their common interests and concerns in regional stability, such as being both EU member states and facing similar provocations in an unstable geopolitical environment.
Mihalacke noted that approximately 47,000 Romanians live in Southern Cyprus, accounting for about 5% of the population, and highlighted that Romanians, who are well integrated into the Greek Cypriot community, are actively engaged in various activities.
