YÖDAK Suspends Dental Faculty Programs at KSTU Until Further Notice
The Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council (YÖDAK) has decided to suspend or halt the permission to start education for the Dental Faculty and programs within it at the Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University between February 27 and January 31, 2025.
In a statement issued by YÖDAK, it was noted that the council, during its meeting yesterday, evaluated the advanced disciplinary investigation initiated on the grounds that the Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University made promotions and/or appointments contrary to the conditions specified in the Regulation on Elevation to the Rank of Faculty Member and Appointment of KKTC Higher Education Institutions.
According to the evaluation outcome, it was unanimously decided within the framework of Article 9(5)(A) of the control regulation of KKTC Higher Education Institutions that the permission to start education for the Dental Faculty and the programs within it at the Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University would be suspended or halted between February 27, 2024, and January 31, 2025 (the related faculty would not enroll students in any way, including horizontal transfer or transition).
