TDP Announces New Executive Board with Nevzat Özkunt as General Secretary
Following its General Assembly, the Social Democratic Party (TDP) convened its first Party Council meeting, where the new Central Executive Board (MYK) was appointed. Nevzat Özkunt, who previously served as Deputy Chairman in the last term, was unanimously elected as the General Secretary. The meeting took place yesterday evening in Central Nicosia.
After TDP's 8th Ordinary Congress held last Sunday, the inaugural meeting of the Party Council was conducted yesterday evening.
Under the agenda of "Election of General Secretary and MYK," the new Chairman Zeki Çeler and the 50-member Party Council appointed Nevzat Özkunt as the General Secretary, who had previously held the position of Deputy Chairman in the last term.
The newly appointed MYK consists of the following members:

- Dr. Suphi Hüdaoğlu (Health Policies)
- Erman Yaylalı (Economic Development and Local Labor Policies)
- Güner Ersen (Trade, Local Industry, and Production Policies)
- Yasemin Çobanoğlu (Environment and Climate Policies)
- Mine Atlı (Secretary for Cyprus and External Relations)
- İlke Davulcu (Press, Publication, and Propaganda)
- Hasan Umur (Civil Society Organizations)
- Hüseyin Hallaçoğlu (Organization Secretary)
- Evrim Hınçal (Financial Secretary)
