Osman Sadetoğlu, İbrahim Erülkü, Can Polat, and Yusuf Uçar, who were arrested in connection with the altercation, appeared before the court again with a request for bail.

STATEMENTS TAKEN FROM EYEWITNESSES RELATED TO THE INCIDENT

Testifying in court about the matter, police officer Emin Günal stated that the suspects, together with previously arrested and bailed suspects Şenel Diker, Erinç Salih Kuruner, Mahmut Hüdaverdi, and Ahmet Aydoğdu, formed an unlawful group and went to Zahra Street to fight on February 22, 2024, around 10:30 PM. The police mentioned that statements were taken from eyewitnesses regarding the incident and it was determined that İbrahim Erülkü went to the scene by car and distributed iron golf clubs to his friends who were going to fight.

INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING

The police further stated that arrest warrants were issued for Yusuf Uçar and İbrahim Erülkü on February 23, 2024, but both suspects surrendered on March 1, 2024. It was also mentioned that arrest warrants were issued for Osman Sadetoğlu and Can Polat on February 28, 2024, with Sadetoğlu surrendering on the same day and Polat on February 29, 2024. The police emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and requested bail for the four suspects, stating that although 19 suspects were granted bail in the case, the remaining four would not affect the rest of the investigation.

DISTINCTION TO BE MADE BETWEEN SUSPECTS WHO ASSISTED THE POLICE AND THOSE WHO TURNED THEMSELVES IN LATE

Evaluating the testimony given, Judge Zehra Yalkut Bilgeç stated that a distinction would be made between suspects who assisted the police and those who turned themselves in late when determining the bail conditions. The judge ordered two guarantors to sign bail bonds of 500,000 TL each for Erülkü and Uçar, and one guarantor to sign bail bonds of 400,000 TL each for Polat and Sadetoğlu. Additionally, all suspects were required to deposit 30,000 TL each as cash bail, their travel abroad was prohibited, and they were ordered to report to the authorities once a week.
