Maviş: Our Country Faces a Serious Political, Social, and Moral Crisis

Speaking about the recent issues dominating the agenda, such as the illicit diploma acquisition, Burak Maviş made remarks regarding the situation.

Maviş expressed the necessity of promptly bringing cases of bribery, fraud, and corruption before an independent judiciary.

"Our country is facing a serious political, social, and moral crisis," said Maviş.

"Our country is facing a serious political, social, and moral crisis. Attempts to address this crisis, though made, fall short of solving the problem, as statements of remorse, promises to clean up the bad, pledges to rid ourselves of wrongdoers through photographs taken with them, and efforts to assume the role of victim through conspiracy theories are as damaging as the actual problems.

Cases related to bribery, fraud, and corruption must be swiftly brought before independent judiciary.

It is a great hypocrisy for those who try to gain unfair advantages, who give and receive bribes, who gain unjust profits, and who corrupt the functioning of independent institutions through bribery, to try to maintain the distorted order by pressuring those who criticize these issues.

We express our gratitude to journalists who stand by the youth who have been deprived of their rights and whose dreams have been shattered, and who expose these matters.

Those who engage in corruption and theft, who provide benefits to their relatives, who corrupt the functioning of independent institutions through bribery, and who conduct their affairs through political favoritism must receive the harshest penalties.

Instead of remorse, we must pursue truth and justice.

There can be no cleanliness in a bed of filth. Do not seek cleanliness within pollution!"
