Professor Sachs, the Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, made these remarks during an appearance on the YouTube program "Uncensored" hosted by British journalist Piers Morgan.

Sachs described the current Israeli administration as the "most extreme, religious, and nationalist" government in the country's history, adding that "They have no intention of living alongside Palestinians under any circumstances."

Pointing out the government's desire for "Greater Israel," which entails control over all territories from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean, Sachs highlighted that "There is no political solution here other than complete domination, ethnic cleansing, or massacre. With such a government in Israel, war seems inevitable."

Sachs emphasized his familiarity with the situation in Israel, having visited the country for 52 years, stating, "We have not seen such a government. This is the most right-wing, most fanatic, Messianic group that wants to control all of Palestine."

Since October 7, 2023, Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of at least 31,819 Palestinians, including 14,000 children and 9,220 women, with 73,934 people injured.
