New Appointments in the Police General Directorate
New appointments have been made in the Police General Directorate (PGM), with Ali Adalıer appointed as the First Deputy and Kaan Resa Saçar as the Second Deputy. This follows the imminent retirement of the current First and Second Deputies due to age limits.
According to information from the Police Press Office, the positions left vacant by the retirement of First Deputy Ahmet Beşerler and Second Deputy Zafer Zaifer will be filled by these new appointments, effective from April 1st.
The appointment decrees are as follows:
"Under Article 69 of Law No. 51/1984 on the Organization, Duties, and Powers of the Police Force, and the temporary first article of Law No. 31/2022 (Amendment No. 11/2024), Police Director (Grade 3) Ali ADALIER, currently serving as the Girne Police Director, is appointed as the Police General Directorate First Deputy effective from April 1, 2024, subject to removal from office without stating any reasons."
"Under Article 69 of Law No. 51/1984 on the Organization, Duties, and Powers of the Police Force, and the temporary first article of Law No. 31/2022 (Amendment No. 11/2024), Police Director (Grade 3) Kaan Resa SAÇAR, currently serving as the Director of the Police School, is appointed as the Police General Directorate Second Deputy effective from April 1, 2024, subject to removal from office without stating any reasons."
