Police Seize Firearms and Ammunition in Girne and Metehan Inspections
In inspections conducted in Girne and Metehan, police authorities seized 4 pistols, 4 magazines, and 41 bullets. Five individuals were arrested during the operations.
According to a statement from the Police Press Office, police teams in Metehan discovered two pistols, two pistol magazines, and a total of nine live bullets in a vehicle belonging to A.A. (36 years old) and S.S. (35 years old). The individuals were taken into custody for unlawfully possessing the firearms and ammunition.
In Girne, the police squads discovered two pistols, two pistol magazines, and 32 live bullets during a search of the residence where K.M. (40 years old) was staying. Additionally, S.S. (33 years old) and Ö.K. (45 years old), who were found to be associated with the incident, were arrested.
The police are currently conducting investigations into both cases.
