Fire in Hamitköy: 247 Finch Birds Perish in the Blaze

According to information provided by the Police Press Office, a fire broke out yesterday around 14:00 in the bird coop located in the backyard of Osman Kartal's residence in Hamitköy, presumably due to a short circuit in the electrical wiring.
The fire was extinguished by the Fire Brigade Teams, but as a result of the fire, the roof of the coop and a total of 30 bird cages inside were damaged, while the 247 finch birds kept in the cages perished in the blaze.
An investigation is ongoing.
