YÖK Introduces New Regulation: Requirement to Enter Top 400
The Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in Turkey has announced a new regulation regarding the equivalence process for students wishing to study abroad.
According to the new regulation, graduates from universities ranked in the top 400 worldwide will be granted equivalence directly. Those graduating from universities ranked within the top 1000 will not be required to take the Higher Education Entrance Exam (YKS).
However, graduates from universities outside the top 1000 will still need to fulfill the requirements for YKS, particularly for programs such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and law.
