Enes Dündar and Harun Nebi Bakırhan, who were found to have entered the country without completing immigration procedures at Ercan Airport, were arrested and brought to court.

Police officer Ozan Kuşak from the Demirhan Police Station briefed on the incidents.

The police stated that on March 25th, two suspects residing in Turkey entered the TRNC without completing immigration procedures, despite knowing that they were supposed to do so at the immigration booths in the arrival section of Ercan Airport.

The police said that on April 1st, 2024, while the suspects were about to exit from Girne Port, they were identified and arrested. The police announced that an examination of the security cameras at Ercan Airport revealed that after approaching the immigration booths, the suspects walked past the booths without completing the procedures. The police stated that the investigation into the suspects has been completed and requested that they remain in custody at Lefkoşa Closed Prison for 20 days until their cases are heard.

After evaluating the testimony before her, Judge Zehra Yalkut Bilgeç ordered the suspects to be sent to prison for a period not exceeding 20 days.
