During the presentation at the Environmental Protection Department, Minister Fikri Ataoğlu, Undersecretary Serhan Aktunç, Director of the Environmental Protection Department Abdullah Aktolgalı, and department staff were briefed about the CWMS system.

Following the presentation, Minister Ataoğlu stated that they have been working for many years to prevent marine pollution and that currently, seven hotels are remotely monitored through the system. He mentioned that with the imminent inclusion of eight more facilities, data from a total of 15 facilities can be simultaneously monitored.

Minister Ataoğlu also mentioned that with the commencement of analyses at the new wastewater analysis facility, initiated by the Environmental Department and the Ministry, the "Blue Flag" award program will be launched based on the reports provided by the Environmental Protection Department. This initiative aims to ensure that the public can enjoy the beaches with peace of mind.

Expressing his gratitude to those involved in the establishment and maintenance of the CWMS system, Ataoğlu highlighted that the system enables the remote monitoring of parameters such as the flow rate of wastewater, Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Dissolved Oxygen (DO), pH, Flow Rate, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Temperature, Conductivity, and others. Any anomalies detected in these values automatically trigger alerts at the central monitoring station.
