Excessive Plant Protection Substances Detected in Strawberries, Apples, and Pears

During the fruit and vegetable inspections conducted by the Agriculture Department, excessive plant protection substances were found in strawberries, apples, and pears.

In the weekly fruit and vegetable inspections carried out by the Agriculture Department, excessive plant protection substances were detected in strawberries, apples, and pears.

As a result of the analysis conducted at the State Laboratory on samples taken from imported and domestic products between March 29th and April 4th, out of 41 samples taken from imported products, 39 were found to be clean, while 2 samples were found to contain excessive plant protection substances. Excessive plant protection substances were detected in pears (S.M) owned by Svs Tic. Ltd. and apples (Pink Lady) owned by Non Foods.

Out of 23 samples taken from domestic products, 22 were found to be clean, and 1 sample was found to contain excessive plant protection substances. Due to the detection of excessive plant protection substances in strawberries owned by Cevdet Atalar from the village of Yeşilırmak, the harvest of the product has been suspended until the next laboratory analysis.
