The written statement, signed by the Union's Board of Directors, accused Minister Gardiyanoğlu of portraying physicians and pharmacists as "backstabbers" with his statements. The statement further claimed, "Yes, Minister used political will to address the issue, but because he wielded the scalpel in the wrong place, the patient has been in a coma for seven months. We are seriously beginning to think that Mr. Minister has 'lost touch with reality.'"

The statement also alleged that Gardiyanoğlu was attempting to cover up his mistakes by claiming to have used political will. It emphasized that the issue was not political but rather a matter of public access to medication and playing with the dignity of physicians and pharmacists.

"We are fighting not to make politics, but to protect our profession, professional dignity, and to solve the problems of insured workers' access to medication," the statement continued. "Failing to manage this issue properly will have both political and legal consequences. All parties and ministers in the government are responsible for remaining silent on this issue."

The statement defended the Union's actions, stating that Minister Gardiyanoğlu informed the Board of Directors and asked for support at the beginning of the process. It reiterated the Union's stance of not defending any member proven to have committed a crime. However, it criticized Gardiyanoğlu for bypassing the internal investigation and punitive processes outlined in the binding contracts between physicians, pharmacists, and the Social Insurance Department, opting instead to involve the police directly.

Regarding the allegations against the Union, the statement clarified that apart from a meeting held before the issue was referred to the police, no other information or complaint letter was sent. It stressed the falsity of the claim.

The statement concluded by accusing Gardiyanoğlu of having malicious intentions with his statements and hindering the process. It reiterated the call for Gardiyanoğlu's resignation or dismissal, stating that the call remains valid.
