Based on a statement from the British bases, it was reported that a total of 970 plots covering over 500,000 square meters in both the western and eastern areas will be given to immigrants.

The announcement from the British bases emphasized that this agreement was the result of efforts by both the British bases and the Republic of Cyprus to ensure that immigrants are not disadvantaged due to the location of their homes.

The newspaper also reminded that the British bases started granting title deeds to residents of immigrant homes since 2007, but it was found that some immigrants passed away without having the title deeds to the houses they resided in, leaving them to their children or grandchildren.

According to the agreement, title deeds will also be given to immigrant children. The affected areas mentioned in the agreement include Ahna Koruluğu, "Trakhoni" (Trahon-Kayakale) in Limassol, Frenaros, and "Kolossi" (Yunus-Burçlu).

Clare Simpson, a representative of the British bases, expressed her satisfaction with this development. She stated that protecting the interests of the residents of the British bases is a priority for the administration of the bases.

Simpson also expressed her happiness about immigrants or their children receiving title deeds, while also thanking the Ministry of Interior, Land Registry Office, and local authorities for their assistance in this matter.

On the other hand, Politis newspaper reported that the title deeds will be issued as of April 11th.
