President Tatar highlighted the importance of addressing property issues in the Cyprus problem context and stressed the need for the IPC to fulfill its duties promptly. He recalled his close monitoring of the IPC's activities during his tenure as Prime Minister and reiterated his commitment to collaborating with IPC President Növber Ferit Veçhi to overcome challenges.

Asserting that the IPC Law allows for compensation, exchange, and return conditions, President Tatar underscored the historical context of property exchanges between Greek and Turkish Cypriots. He noted the relinquishment of equivalent properties in exchange for land in Northern Cyprus and emphasized that properties relinquished in favor of the state would eventually be subject to evaluation and exchange through the commission.

President Tatar reaffirmed the Turkish Cypriot stance on rejecting a federal solution and reiterated the pursuit of a two-state cooperation-based agreement. He emphasized that property issues would be resolved through exchange, return, or compensation, with the possibility of a global exchange, as proposed by the late founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş.

Highlighting the importance of trust in the institutions of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), President Tatar commended the efforts of the IPC's leadership and expressed gratitude to those involved in its establishment.

Chairman Özkul Özyiğit of the Immovable Property Commission expressed the institution's significance and the ongoing efforts to promote its role across various platforms.
