Chancellor Scholz stressed the importance of addressing these issues, especially since the Commission has been given the authority to conduct these negotiations, including visa facilitation.

Scholz stated that he has been making efforts to initiate initiatives to improve developments regarding the Cyprus issue for a long time, emphasizing that they have called for the revival of mediation talks under the auspices of the United Nations (UN). He highlighted that the issue was deeply discussed, considering it an important step forward.

Scholz noted that Turkey and the Cyprus issue were extensively discussed, emphasizing the need for progress on these matters.
