Saldam was interrogated yesterday afternoon regarding the clearing process of a land owned by the Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University. It was revealed that a total of 8 invoices, amounting to 207,500 TL for fuel expenses of the work vehicle used in the land clearing process, were issued and collected by Saldam.

The Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University, which filed a complaint against Hüseyin Saldam, stated in court that such a purchase was paid for by the university. However, it was understood that the cleaning fee for the land, which was to be cleared, would be collected in exchange for cutting down the trees on the land.

Yahya Suiçmez, who works in the financial department, presented the facts to the court during the trial.

In his defense, Saldam's lawyer, Doğa Zeki, requested an investigation into the underlying reason behind the allegations against his client.

The court ordered Saldam to be remanded in custody for an additional 3 days.
