UN Secretary-General's Representative Holguin to Visit Cyprus

Expected to arrive in Cyprus tomorrow, the United Nations Secretary-General's Personal Representative for Cyprus, Maria Angela Holguin Cuellar, will be received by President Ersin Tatar on Wednesday.

According to information obtained from the Presidency, the meeting at the Presidential Palace will begin at 12:00.

Holguin, who is expected to hold meetings on the island until May 14th, had previously held talks in Brussels and London and met with senior EU officials.

Appointed by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on January 5th to explore whether there is a common ground for the two sides to move towards a new and official process for six months, Holguin had visited Cyprus twice in January and March. Holguin had met with President Tatar on January 30th and March 11th.
