KTAMS: "As of April 30, the hunger threshold for a family is 23,559 TL."

KTAMS President Güven Bengihan said in a written statement that, according to the report they prepared taking into account the nutrition pattern necessary for a healthy diet for a family of 4 obtained from the Directorate of Inpatient Treatment Facilities affiliated with the Ministry of Health and the prices of the items in this pattern sent by the Statistical Institute, the hunger threshold for a family of 4 as of April 30 was calculated as 23,559 TL.

According to the study conducted by the union, it was noted that the mandatory food expenses required for healthy eating are as follows: daily 201.53 TL for an adult woman, monthly 6,045.90 TL; daily 211.04 TL for an adult man, monthly 6,331.20 TL; daily 223.50 TL for a child aged 15-19, monthly 6,705 TL; and daily 149.24 TL for a child aged 4-6, monthly 4,477.20 TL.
