Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı delivered a speech at the 4th International Communication Symposium on "Disinformation in the Digital Age," organized by the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University in the capital city of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek.

Arıklı remarked, "Every state that declared independence after the dissolution of the Soviet Union was recognized, but the TRNC, established 50 years ago, is still not recognized," stating, "Even the Turkic Republics are hesitant about this issue. Yet, the TRNC is the outpost of the Turkish world in the Eastern Mediterranean. This state belongs not only to the Turkish Cypriots but also to the Turks in Central Asia." Arıklı, along with Minister of Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu, Hasan Kılıç, the Rector of Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), and Mehmet Ali Yükselen, the Rector of European University of Lefke (EUL), is currently in Kyrgyzstan to conduct some meetings and sign protocols.

As part of the engagements in Kyrgyzstan, a cooperation protocol will be signed tomorrow between EMU and Manas University, as well as between EUL and Arabayev State University.
