The protest initiated by the Cyprus Turkish Animal Breeders and Producers Association continues today, marking its fourth day without reaching any agreement.

Naimoğulları recalled the times when he and Minister Çavuş, then President of the Farmers' Union, participated in many protests together.

Naimoğulları’s Call to the Minister: Resign and Join Us!

Naimoğulları emphasized their past solidarity, noting that Minister Çavuş has now forgotten his roots and conformed to the system. He recounted how they welcomed Çavuş with flowers and hope when he was elected, but their hopes were shattered by his pursuit of the position. Naimoğulları called on Minister Çavuş to "Resign and come join the farmers!"

Accusing Minister Çavuş of being engulfed by the system and his ambition for power, Naimoğulları stated, "Our friend, who sits in that seat thanks to the votes of the farmers and breeders, has turned a blind eye to their plight."

Reactions to the Farmers' Protest

On the other hand, there are reactions against the farmers' protest. Some citizens have taken to social media to express their discontent, accusing the protesters of exaggerating and turning the protest into vandalism. They argue that the right to democratic protest should not be confused with violence and vandalism.
