Üstel Speaks in Adıyaman: We Will Follow the Case Until the End
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, who traveled to Adıyaman for the Isias Hotel trial, emphasized in a press statement that they will follow the case to the end, insisting that the hotel owners be tried for possible intent.
Prime Minister Üstel stated that the Isias Hotel case has become a shared legal struggle and case for the Turkish Cypriot people.
“We stand with our families during the trial process of the Isias case,” said Prime Minister Üstel, underscoring that they will persistently follow the case until the highest and most deterrent penalties are applied within the framework of the law.
Present in Adıyaman for the Isias Hotel hearing, Prime Minister Üstel made a statement to the press before the court session.
Prime Minister Üstel extended condolences for those lost in the February 6 disaster in Turkey, referring to it as the "disaster of the century." He said, “In this disaster, we also lost our Champion Angels, our children, our offspring from the TRNC. Our grief is immense.”
Stating that they were in Adıyaman as representatives of the government, opposition, party leaders, deputies, families, and all individuals representing the TRNC, Prime Minister Üstel continued:
“We are seeking justice in Adıyaman. Our grief is profound and will not cease. We will follow the case until justice is served and those who constructed the hotel receive the necessary penalties.”
Emphasizing their trust in the justice system of the Republic of Turkey, Prime Minister Üstel highlighted their expectation that the third report will be prepared as soon as possible, ensuring that the hotel owners are tried for possible intent.
