What Happened?
Narin Güran went missing on August 21, sparking a search effort. On September 2, her uncle Salim Güran, who is also the head of the Tavşantepe neighborhood, was arrested as part of the investigation. Diyarbakır Governor Murat Zorluoğlu later confirmed that Narin’s body had been found on September 8, hidden in a sack near the creek, covered with stones and branches to make it appear natural.
In earlier developments, a suspect named Nevzat Bahtiyar (48) alleged that Salim Güran had offered him 200,000 TL to dispose of Narin’s body in the creek. Bahtiyar claimed that Salim threatened to kill him and his family if he refused. Bahtiyar was arrested on September 10 for "participation in intentional homicide."
