Derya: "How Many Seats Is a Baby's Life Worth?"

In her written statement, Derya attributed the root cause of both the baby scandal and the preceding Parliamentary Speaker crisis to the UBP-DP-YDP Government, calling once again for their resignation.

Derya’s statement reads as follows:

“How many seats is a baby’s life worth?”

The "UBP-DP-YDP Trickster Government" that has plagued society for so long has undermined all public institutions, particularly education and healthcare, while funneling public resources to foreign companies and affiliated firms under external orders.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, appointed through outside intervention, and his allies have systematically institutionalized lawlessness and irresponsibility, prioritizing who occupies which position and the financial benefits these positions offer.

The recent tragic loss of a baby was the result of a chain of negligence, a direct consequence of the UBP-DP-YDP Government's economic, social, and political collapse in the country. The “UBP-DP-YDP Trickster Government,” which has paralyzed the country through shady contracts, tax breaks for big corporations, employment manipulation tied to party congresses, and the disgrace of the parliamentary speaker election, is now trying to evade responsibility for the negligence leading to the death of a 20-day-old infant, attempting to cover up their failures.

Appointed Prime Minister Ünal Üstel is trying to deflect blame onto healthcare workers to cover up the web of lies and exploitation he has woven, while Health Minister Hakan Dinçyürek merely calls this loss a “regrettable situation,” shirking accountability.

Instead of addressing the damage caused to healthcare and educational institutions by the uncontrolled population growth, or utilizing public funds to alleviate poverty and return citizens’ taxes as public services, this degraded structure focuses solely on securing positions, condemning us all to live amid the filth they create. As women living in this country, we have no patience left for a system that causes the deaths of our children. Since we are certain Ünal Üstel and his allies will not have the dignity to resign, let it be known that the days of being uprooted from those seats you cling to are near.”
