Knife Attack in Nicosia Leaves Man Seriously Injured
A violent dispute between individuals with a prior grudge turned bloody on Mehmet Akif Street in Nicosia around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
According to information received, M.P. (27) and C.A. (26) were speaking with M.T. (49), with whom they had previous conflicts, when the argument suddenly escalated. During the altercation, M.P. attempted to kill M.T. by stabbing him multiple times in the back, abdomen, and arm with an illegally carried knife. After the stabbing, M.P. and C.A. continued to assault M.T., delivering severe blows to various parts of his body.
The seriously injured M.T. was rushed by ambulance to Nicosia Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, where he was admitted to the Cardiovascular and Surgical Intensive Care Unit.
M.P. and C.A. were arrested by police, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
