Rainy Weather Expected Until Friday

The Meteorology Department has forecast partly cloudy conditions with intermittent showers between December 23 and 29, while the Greek Cypriot Meteorology Department has issued a yellow warning due to the risk of storms and hail.

According to a statement by the Meteorology Department, the region will remain under the influence of a low-pressure system and a cold, moist air mass in the upper atmosphere during the period.

Weather conditions are expected to be partly to mostly cloudy tomorrow, with locally heavy showers or thunderstorms. On Wednesday, the weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy, with light local rain until midday. Thursday is forecast to be partly cloudy, with local showers developing from noon onward, while the following days are expected to be partly cloudy to mostly clear.

Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 17 and 20 degrees Celsius in inland areas and along the coast.

Winds will blow from the north and east at moderate strength, occasionally strong, during the first half of the period, shifting to northerly and westerly directions during the second half.

Greek Cypriot Meteorology Department Also Issues Yellow Warning

The Greek Cypriot Meteorology Department has issued a yellow warning due to storms and hail, effective from 11.00 p.m. until 9.00 a.m. tomorrow.

According to the Fileleftheros website, severe storms are expected to affect some areas, accompanied by hail.

Rainfall intensity is forecast to exceed 35 millimetres per hour in certain locations.
