Fenerbahçe Club President Sadettin Saran Tests Positive in Drug Screening
As part of a drug investigation targeting prominent figures, Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Sadettin Saran was summoned to give a statement. It was learned that Saran was abroad at the time and, upon his return to Turkey, provided blood and hair samples at the Council of Forensic Medicine.
According to the test results issued by the Council of Forensic Medicine, analysis of Saran’s hair sample returned a positive result for cocaine. The report has been forwarded to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Within the scope of the investigation, Saran was referred to the on-duty Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for judicial control measures, including a travel ban. The court ruled that Saran be placed under a ban on leaving the country.
The investigation is ongoing.
