Southern Cyprus Breaks Tourism Records in 2025
Greek Cypriot Deputy Minister of Tourism Kostas Koumis announced that the number of tourists arriving from Germany in 2025 exceeded 250,000, while overall tourist arrivals have increased by 40 per cent over the past three years.
Speaking to the press, Koumis said the performance marked a record for the tourism sector, highlighting the significant rebound and sustained growth following recent years. He described the surge in arrivals from Germany as the strongest increase seen in the market in 28 years.
Koumis also noted that passenger traffic at Paphos Airport is expected to reach 4.5 million by the end of the year, reflecting the broader growth in tourism to Southern Cyprus.
