Iranians In Northern Cyprus Call For March Against Islamic Revolution On Wednesday
Iranians living in Northern Cyprus have announced that they will hold a march in Nicosia on Wednesday, January 14, as part of a wave of protests organised by Iranian opposition groups in the diaspora against the Islamic Revolution and the current regime in Iran.
According to calls shared on social media, the demonstration will take place at Nicosia Terminal Square at 18.00, where participants will gather before marching in protest of Iran’s political system, the legacy of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, and the regime’s current policies.
The organisers said the march aims to draw attention to the growing protests inside Iran and the broader political developments unfolding in the country. They noted that similar demonstrations are being held simultaneously by Iranian opposition groups in many countries around the world, particularly across Europe.
Iranians in Northern Cyprus stated that the protest is part of a global effort by the Iranian diaspora to amplify the voices of those inside Iran and to express solidarity with ongoing demonstrations against the regime.
