Five-Day Water Outage In Famagusta And Yeni Bogazici Sparks Public Anger
A resident living in the Famagusta and Yeni Bogazici area has voiced frustration over an ongoing water outage that has lasted for approximately five to six days, saying no clear explanation or tanker support has been provided by the municipality.
Speaking to the complaint hotline, the resident said there has been no water supply in the area for days, with municipal authorities failing to offer what was described as a “proper explanation” or emergency water tanker service.
The resident added that attempts to arrange a private water tanker to refill household tanks were unsuccessful, as they were unable to reach any tanker operators by phone. The prolonged disruption has severely affected daily life, with the situation described as “a disgrace”.
To document the problem, the resident also shared a photograph and called on the authorities to make an immediate public statement and take urgent action to resolve the issue.
