Two Workers Injured In Accident At Supreme Court Construction Site
Two workers were injured in a workplace accident at the construction site of the new Supreme Court building in Nicosia, where concrete garden railings collapsed onto them.
According to information from the Police Press Office, the incident occurred at around 9.00 a.m. at the construction site in the Ortaköy area. Haq Nawaz (38) and Muhammed İmran (30) were reportedly carrying out ground-levelling work when concrete-weighted garden railings toppled over onto them.
Both injured workers were taken to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia, where their treatment is continuing. Police said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
