Fatma Ünal appeared again today before the Güzelyurt District Court, where hearings continued with witness testimony. The court ordered an adjournment of the case to 29 January for further hearings.

The session was held before Judge Nuray Necdet, with Prosecutor Damla Güçlü representing the prosecution and defence lawyer Doğa Zeki present on behalf of the accused.

University partner Serdal Gündüz, who testified as a witness, made striking allegations before the court. Gündüz claimed that Ziya Öztürkler had exerted pressure on him and gave direct instructions for a diploma to be prepared for Fatma Ünal.

The court ruled that proceedings would continue on 29 January, when additional witnesses will be heard.
