According to a statement from the police, the arrest was made on 29 January 2026 as B.A., who had been wanted in connection with the incident, attempted to enter the country through the Metehan Crossing Point.
The shooting occurred on 06.01.2026, when two individuals working at a car dealership in Nicosia were injured after being fired upon with a handgun.
Police said the suspect was detained as part of an advanced investigation into the case. The investigation is continuing.
